Faces of the Vista


Paul and Morgan Batton, Owners


Paul and Morgan Batton are permanent residents of Aiken. Paul and Morgan are graduates of Clemson University and own The Hitch and Tow, LLC, Aiken’s 4Star Trailer dealership and trailer service shop. Paul is an engineer by trade and enjoys business, hospitality, and flying. Morgan is an active eventer and has competed through the 3* level and manages a professional training program. The Battons have a son, named Lee.

 Amber Lee (Manager)
Amber is a South Carolina native and has been involved with horses since she first started taking lessons at five years old. She is proud of her accomplishments in the hunter/jumpers. Amber has been involved in Event Management for many years and has held key roles in managing equestrian facilities. Amber joined The Vista team in November of 2021. Everyone knows her famous side kick, Tucker. 
  Janet Chichester (Client Relations)

Janet moved to Aiken from western New York where she owned and operated her own business. She brings her business perspective and love of horses to The Vista. When Janet actively rode, she participated in showing her horses in the western arena. In later years she enjoyed relaxing on the trail. Janet likes to keep herself busy working at The Vista, boarding a few retired horses and pet sitting.


Nikki Eremita (Client Relations)
Nikki is originally from Brewer, Maine and moved to Aiken to learn how to start and train young horses. She has worked for Morgan as her Assistant Trainer and Farm Manager for Morgan Batton Eventing & Training business since August of 2020. Nikki started working part time at The Vista in October of 2021 to further immerse herself in Aiken’s amazing eventing community. She enjoys greeting everyone in the office and seeing all of the familiar faces that come to us here! When she isn’t training horses, Nikki enjoys traveling, spending time with family, doing anything outdoors and working with her own OTTB, River.

Jamie Gornall (Course Builder)

Jamie has been part of The Vista team since the beginning. After earning a Pre-Med degree from Springfield College, he became a full-time course builder with contributions to Fair Hill, Southern Pines, Great Meadow, 2018 World Equestrian Games, among others. When not traveling building horse jumps, Jamie is the Technical Coordinator at The Green Mountain Horse Association and in the process of building a house there in South Woodstock, VT.
